Why Us?

Healing Hands Wound Care and Surgery will provide the following

• Team consists of myself, scribe, and a wound nurse from facility.  Scribe is value-add for the facility as they do not need to provide a staff member to write for them. Notes go directly into their system

• Available for any surgical consult on the premises, including G-tube issues and placement

• As Dr. Waheed has privileges at local hospitals, he will be able to follow them while in the hospital.  This leads to better continuity of care.  In addition, this prevents the family from getting the idea that the facility was negligent while the patient is in the hospital. This may also prevent legal action in some cases.

• Any major debridements that need to happen can happen as outpatient procedures and will not require a hospital admission

• Network of physicians are available via Dr. Waheed’s contacts in these major hospital systems.  Most wound providers work completely outside the hospital system and do not have access to these experts.

• Dr. Waheed’s hospital affiliations with local surgeons allows them to trust me to care for some of their post-ops as well.  That will save the patient from needing to go to a post-op visit just to assess their incision

• As Dr. Waheed works in the hospital setting as well, any patients I see in the hospital will want to go to my facilities after discharge because of familiarity with me and my care of their wounds.

• Providing personalized service through a physician wound practice rather than large corporate group.

• Direct follow up with physician rather than corporate group. 

• Same physician without switching doc/NP

• Constant oversight and continuing education to their staff. 

• Accessible and responsive liaison available for any concerns, questions, or communication with provider.
